Where you come from
Henry started Cruxx because he believed executive search in MedTech could be done at a completely different level. The contingency model that dominated the market structurally rewarded speed over quality. Clients got effort proportional to urgency, candidates were an afterthought, and the relationship ended at placement. He built Cruxx on the opposite premise: that if you are retained on a search and obsessed with every stage of the process, the results take care of themselves.
That obsession required genuine depth in the sector. Surgical robotics was where that started, at a point when few firms had committed to truly understanding it. The podcast, the relationships, and the firm’s reputation all grew from that early decision to specialise, and it shaped the way Cruxx has approached every market it has moved into since.

The searches Henry leads sit at board, C-suite, and VP level. Understanding what success looks like at that level comes from time spent both inside search and through the Medtexx podcast, conferences, and ongoing conversations with the CEOs and founders who are building these organisations. How you actually run a search
Every search Henry runs is built on a structured process that he holds himself and his clients to equally. It starts with building a compelling narrative around the opportunity, because the quality of people who engage is directly shaped by how the story is told. He will present candidates who differ from the original brief if he genuinely believes their traits make them right for the mission, and he will push back when the pressure is to move faster than the process allows. Candidates are treated with the same rigour and transparency as clients. They will be challenged, assessed properly, and told directly if the fit is wrong.
Outside of work
Outside of work, Henry spends his time surfing, skiing, and mountain biking. Fast moving, high
